Borealopelta + English Mark+Mitchell+-i. From being named in honour of Canadian paleontological researcher Mark Mitchell at the Royal Tyrell Museum in Alberta, who worked on the first fossil discovered, the Suncor nodosaur, from the Millennium Mine, then operated by Suncor.
