     To the west of Yangmingshan, and easily accessible by MRT from Taipei, is the rustic hot-springs resort of Beitou, Taiwan’s oldest. Here you can stay in a tranquil Japanese-style inn for a taste of hot-springs bathing in your own room. You can also reach another historic town, Danshuei (Danshui), by MRT from Taipei.
