Comparable to Proto-Tungusic *gula (“edge, eyelashes”), Proto-Uralic *kuľma (“eyebrow, eye corner”), see Finnish kulma. Compare also Mongolian гулдан (guldan, “arch”). (Can this(+) etymology be sourced?)
