From Pre-Polabian *utope sę instead of Proto-Slavic *utopitъ (sę), third-person singular present of Proto-Slavic *utopìti, from *topìti. Compare Polish utopić, Slovincian vʉtʉ̀ɵpjĭc, Czech utopiti.
