- These females differ from all other Palaearctic Pararhamphomyia by the following combination of characters: body entirely dark setose, dorsocentrals almost regularly uniserial, halter yellow, clypeus lustrous, both mid and hind femora broadly pennate, tibiae without pennation and abdomen lustrous except the first segment.
