kladda (present kladdar, preterite kladdade, supine kladdat, imperative kladda)

  1. to deal with a messy and sticky (and unpleasant) substance, like some gunk or goo, e.g. by playing with it or smearing it on things
    Han kladdade med lera
    He was messing around with mud
    Han kladdade lera på sin kompis
    He smeared mud on his friend
    Synonym: (often a bit stickier) kleta
  2. (colloquial) to grope (touch sexually), usually against someone's will
    en äcklig snubbe som kladdar på tjejer
    a gross guy who gropes girls
    Synonyms: tafsa, talla, (molest) antasta

Usage notes

The past participle only exists with a particle such as ned or ner.
