Ancient Greek περί (perí, “around”) + τρόπος (trópos, “turn”) + -al.

Adjective

peritropal (not comparable)

  1. rotatory; circuitous
  2. (botany) Having the axis of the seed perpendicular to the axis of the pericarp to which it is attached.
