Gheg variant of Tosk prëhër, prehër. According to Orel from Proto-Albanian *prōjena (front), from Proto-Indo-European *prō (forward, in front of, before). Cognate to Ancient Greek πρωΐ (prōḯ, early in the morning), Old High German fruo (id).[1]
