A group of seven uniformed services of the United States federal government defined by federal law. It includes five armed services (the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard) and two non-military services (the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Corps).

Usage notes
