povidla
Czech

Possibly from vít (“to wind, roll”), meaning “something produced by stirring, mixing of a boiled fruit juice”.[1] An alternate etymology derives the word ultimately from Proto-Indo-European *peu- (“to cleanse, purify”), in the sense “purified concoction”.[2]
