Dhanera is a city in Banaskantha district in the northern part of the state of Gujarat, India.

Dhanera has an average literacy rate of 55%, lower than the national average of 59.5%. Male literacy is 67% and, female literacy is 42%. In Dhanera, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
