Inherited from Proto-Turkic *tirsgek (elbow); cognate with Azerbaijani dirsək, Bashkir терһәк (terhäk), Kazakh тірсек (tırsek), Kyrgyz тирсек (tirsek), Turkmen tirsek and Uzbek tirsak.
