Derived from the active participle of سَخَنَ‎ (saḵana, “to be or become hot”), سَخِنَ‎ (saḵina, “to be or become hot”), and سَخُنَ‎ (saḵuna, “to be or become hot, to be or become ill”), from the root س خ ن‎ (s-ḵ-n).
