عُصْفُر

Etymology

From a variant of أَصْفَر‎ (ʔaṣfar), the atypical /ع/ occurs occasionally in some Arabic dialects in replacement of /أ/ due to the pharyngeal-aspect of a nearby emphatic consonant, namely /ص/.
