Etymology

From Proto-Turkic *sāyïn (“every”).[1] Cognate to Chuvash -сем (-sem), Kazakh сайын (saiyn), Turkmen sāýyn, as opposed to Common Turkic plurals in *-ler like Turkish -ler.
