I have tried to install Pygame on my mac but failed. I want to work with sound and midi. If there are any other alternative to this, please comment below.

When first I downloaded pygame-1.9.2pre-py3.2 macosx10.7.mpkg.zip and run the installation. The installation fails since it requires Python 3.2 but Python 3.2 won't work with Mac OS 10.11.5. Is there any way to use sound function instead of pygame?

  • Will Python 3.2 simply not install on OS X 10.11? I imagine it has an earlier version by default, but can you not install it via Macports or Homebrew? – halfer Jul 16 '16 at 15:53
  • I am not to familiar with macport or homebrew. Could you help me please? – Turzo Bose Jul 17 '16 at 01:47

They are things that can be searched for - they both have websites and documentation. Would you try searching for them please? – halfer Jul 17 '16 at 08:17
