I have an issue working with Rook Ceph stretched cluster. After scaling deployment of one of available OSDs my Ceph pools starting not responding I cannot check their status or even check them at dashboard. OSD is marked down and I cannot reach my pool because any command is stuck on execution. eg. I cannot execute “rbd ls ceph-pool” because it doesn’t get any response, after I scale OSD to one replica, it starting working properly and I’m getting result.

Kubernetes: v1.23.15 and v1.20.6 Ceph: Pacific v16.2.1

  • What exactly does it mean "after scaling deployment of one of available OSDs"? What exactly did you do? We don't know anything about your crush tree, so some more info is required like `ceph osd tree` and `ceph -s`. – eblock Jun 19 '23 at 12:55
