My mother was attending school to be an engineer in the late 70s and early 80s. My brother and I would play with the Fortran cards she'd bring home. It was before my school got its first computer. I think I was in the 3rd grade, so like 1982/3. My first computer language was BASIC.
In 2002, I built my first Netscape website. It was my first web-based project at University. By 2003, I had learned a new language called Python. I was getting heavily into GIS applications for Geology projects, and Python was the go-to language.
Life has a funny way of steering you. I stopped programming in 2014. I picked it back up in 2022 because I decided I needed to revisit an old friend. I'm currently getting my certifications in Machine Learning & Python.
