My coding background is in web development, and as part of my job I maintain a number of complex web applications vital to the operation of the projects that I manage for the company. These are built using HTML, CSS, PHP/CodeIgniter, JavaScript/jQuery (with AJAX) and MySQL.

As part of a personal interest and hobby, I'm also learning Swift (and previously Objective-C) for iOS (and maybe eventually OS X) development. Why iOS? I use Apple products (Mac, iPhone, iPad) for everything in my personal life. This being a personal interest and hobby, it's the most natural platform to want to learn. =]
