- The Islamic Republic of Iran recognizes the Supreme Political Council as the governing authority of Yemen instead of the Hadi government, which severed relations in 2015.
- As of 27 January 2022, Yemen has not yet formally recognized Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan as de jure legitimate government of Afghanistan.
