Cognate with Avestan 𐬠𐬁𐬰𐬎 (bāzu), Sanskrit बाहु (bāhu), Ancient Greek πήχυς (pḗkhus, forearm). Also akin to Old Armenian բազուկ (bazuk), an Iranian borrowing.
