Etymology

Inherited from Proto-Turkic *ökče (heel); cognate with Azerbaijani ökcə, Bashkir үксә (üksä), Kazakh өкше (ökşe), Kyrgyz өкчө (ökçö), Southern Altai энчек (enček), Tatar үкчә (ükçä), Turkmen ökje and Uyghur ئوكچە (okche).
