Related to ठीक (ṭhīk). Cognate with Gujarati ઠેકાણું (ṭhekāṇũ), Hindustani ٹِھکَانَا / ठिकाना (ṭhikānā), Punjabi ਟਿਕਾਣਾ (ṭikāṇā) / ٹِکانا (ṭikānā), Bengali ঠিকানা (ṭhikana).
