Etymology
Refers to four counties of the Jiaying Prefecture during the Qing dynasty: Xingning (興寧), Changle (長樂, now called Wuhua 五華), Pingyuan (平遠) and Zhenping (鎮平, now called Jiaoling 蕉嶺). Taiwanese Hakkas who speak the Sixian dialect can generally trace back their ancestry to these counties.
