Suffix

-anék

  1. (personal suffix) Used to form the first-person singular conditional present tense of verbs (indefinite conjugation).
    tanít (to teach)tanítanék (I would teach)
  2. (personal suffix, archaic, only with -ik verbs) Used to form the third-person singular conditional present indefinite. Usually avoided except when the third person is clear.
    Synonym: (current form) -ana

    -nék is added to most verbs (there is no back-vowel variant in standard Hungarian)
