Etymology
Maybe from earlier *kaŋčikān. Now can be analyzable as *kači- + -kān. Compared to Proto-Turkic *kaŋčïk (“bitch (female dog); female”), whence Turkish kancık (“female dog”), Kyrgyz канчык (kançık). (Can this(+) etymology be sourced?)
