Borrowed from Belarusian ю́дзіць (júdzicʹ) and Ukrainian ю́дити (júdyty), from Proto-Slavic *juditi[1], from Proto-Indo-European *Hyowdʰ-éye-ti, causative of *Hyewdʰ- (to be agitated).
