книгозбір
Ukrainian
Etymology
From книга (knyha, “book”) + збір (zbir, “assembly, gathering; collection”). Either a shortened form of more common Ukrainian книгозбірня (knyhozbirnja, “library”) without the suffix -ня, or the original form from which Ukrainian книгозбірня (knyhozbirnja, “library”) derived, which is more likely. Since the word книгозбір means "book collection"[1], the suffix -ня could have been added to create a noun denoting a place or a collective noun, which is a common use of this suffix in Ukrainian.
