旅遊／旅游 (lǚyóu) is used to convey a sense of travelling for the purpose of leisure (e.g. sightseeing), while 旅行 (lǚxíng) is used when any sense of travel is implied. Use 參觀／参观 (cānguān) to express tour as in a short trip to a certain place, and 巡迴／巡回 (xúnhuí) to express tour as in a performance circuit.
